Hi, my name is Tyson Farmer and I'm a guitar teacher and professional musician who teaches online video conference lessons on LessonFace.com to all kinds of students from different area codes from my home in the Canton, GA area about a half hour north of Atlanta, Georgia. I teach using video conferencing so you don't have to worry about commuting through traffic or scheduling your time ahead to get to the lesson on time. All you need is a webcam and a decent internet connection, and you're set up for the lesson!
I teach a wide variety of guitar and other instrument
styles to students age 10 and up,
including rock, jazz, metal, classical, country, 80s
rock, classic rock, funk, and many more. I know most
people who take music lessons are there for fun and to
learn something new and rewarding. So I start by
teaching my students the important concepts they need to
get them playing quickly- by using the music that THEY
are familiar with, like to listen to, and want to play-
no "On Top Of Old Smokey" or boring exercises here- I
use the music they like! I work at each student's pace
and adjust my teaching style to their individual way of
thinking.
I can teach anyone from the absolute
"square one" beginner who has never
played a guitar or other instrument before, to a musician
of any skill level who wants to take it to
the next level or get back on track with their playing.
I can provide what I like to call a "Fun Lessons
Track", where the main goal is to provide a
student of any age (younger teenagers to grown adults)
with a new, personally rewarding, and fun hobby that
they can be proud of. I can also help with specific
short or long term goals- preparing any student for a
musical "Career Track", college music major
placement or auditions, high school senior projects,
skills for playing in a school jazz or rock band program
or church praise and worship group, tutoring for better
grades in music theory class (high school or college
level), and much more.
I believe strongly in shopping around
for the right service or product, and I am confident
about my teaching abilities, so I offer a free 30
minute, one-on-one, no obligations trial lesson to
anyone who asks (not to be confused with the
video example lesson on this page). I also offer a free
lesson to any already enrolled student who brings another
paying student my way through personal recommendation.
My main goal in all cases is to work
with a student's specific musical and instrumental goals
if they have any, or to provide the needed lesson plan
and walk them through the learning process step by step
if they have no idea where to start.
Feel free to contact
me anytime to set up your free trial lesson or if
you have any questions that are not answered in the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
section or the rest of the site!
